The Australian Pole Championship is one of Australia's biggest national pole competitions held in the nations' capital of Canberra brought to you by the fabulous and talented Elizabeth Domazet. This is Australian Pole Championships' third year running and what we are all excited to know is who will take out the Champion title today.
This competition holds a lot of great opportunities for the winner gains an automatic entry to the semi finals of the International Pole Championships. Within this competition there are four main divisions: Professional, Amateur, Group and Battle. Titles are also awarded for Best Performer, Best Musical Interpretation and Best Trickstar.
With 47 exceptional competitors from around Australia, today's competition will be a nail-biting one. Competing in the Professional Division is Michelle Shimmy, Maria Cossia, Lisa D Poledancer, Fontaine Bradbury, Amber Ray, Andrea Ryff, Gracie Buntine, Bailey Hart, Miss Filly, Joanna Littlewood-Johnson, Jacinta, Rosie Bui, The ACT professional champion.
Two amazing pole dancers that I have had the pleasure of learning from at last years' pole camp will be competing today in the doubles division, Susie Q and Toby J, plus the duet Enchanted.
Tonights event will not only be showcasing some if Australia's most talented pole dancers but you will see performances from the International and Australian pole star judges - Natalia Tatarinseva (Ukraine), Bendy Kate (UK) and Australian Pole Championships winner from 2012 and 2011 Carlie Hunter (Australia). All three judges will awe you in their strength, grace and beauty.
The 2013 international guest is Natalia Tatarinseva from the Ukraine who shows the world that hard work and dedication pays off. She is the only person in the world to have won three world titles in one year. Taking out first place in the 2012 World Pole Sport Championship, 2012 Aerial Pole International and the 2012 Miss Pole Sport Ukraine. She is an instructor and the founder of Tatarintseva Dance Studio.
With no rest for the wicked...the day after is workshop day!! Carlie Hunter will be holding a workshop along with a bunch of the competitors and the international guests.
