What different sports do you compete in?
Bodybuilding, Capoeira, Pole dance fitness.
What led you to begin each one?
I started with Capoeira in 1998, a year after I had my first contact with Jiu - Jitsu, continuing with these two activities I realized the need to increase my muscle mass, I was thin and started training in bodybuilding. I started Capoeira, dance lessons as did African and Samba, I fell in love and sought new dance styles like ballroom dancing and jazz, then five years later I started Pole Dance Fitness.
No, all are essential to me.
How do you fit in training for all the different disciplines? One activity complements the other. I create strategies for training and doing a combined workout with another, everything is intensified and I got better results in all training activities .
How restrictive is your diet just before a figure competition?
My diet is based on the diet of fisiculturista. Before competitions I combine protein with carbohydrates, simple carbohydrates only that have a low glycemic index, such as sweet potatoes and cassava, red lean meat 2-3 times a week. Just before a competition I cut the carbohydrates and keeping only the proteins.
In the beginning I had difficulties with the amount of meals per day and pre-determined time. It was strange to mainly increase my protein intake, but now I'm used to it and it does not bother me.
